Respecting your right to privacy and safeguarding your personal information has always been important to CAAM. As a result of federal and provincial legislation, we have further strengthened our privacy commitment by informing you, through posting this policy, of why and how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information. When you make an inquiry by phone, email, website, or make a registration (membership, conference, training program) through CAAM, we will ask you to provide us with personal information, such as your name, address, email address, credit card number, demographic information, interests and preferences and other personal identifying information. We require this information to process your request and at times will also need to share this personal information with the relevant hotel and /or other involved third party.
We may use the information collected to contact our members through email, regular mail, or fax to alert them of new announcements, services, or products. Demographic and personal information may be used to communicate specific services and promotions to you. You always have the option to ‘opt-out’ and instruct us not to use your personal information beyond providing you with the product, information or service you requested.
For certain opt-in services, CAAM may collect profile information, as well as demographic information. This information will be used to communicate specific information to you based on your personal and demographic profile.
Should CAAM wish to use your personal information for a purpose not contemplated at the time of initial collection, such as additional services, products, or promotional offers that may be of interest to you, we may use your contact information, including your email address, to ask for your consent to use your personal information for the new purpose.

Consent to opt-in is implied when a member requests information on specific CAAM opportunities, or by subscribing to the e-newsletter. Each e-newsletter message that we send has an “unsubscribe” link. This gives the customer the option to be removed from the subscriber database so that they do not receive future mailings.
