Dr. Haneef Alibhai graduated from McGill Medical School in Montreal, Canada. He is the medical director of md cosmetic & laser clinic in Abbotsford, BC, Canada and the director of training of md cosmetic & laser training. His main interests lie in the fields of lasers, pulsed light devices, Botox Cosmetic and Therapeutic and Dermal Fillers.
Dr. Alibhai is a Past-President of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine. He is a clinical instructor for the UBC Faculty of Medicine. He is a faculty member of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine and the National Society of Cosmetic Physicians.
Dr. Alibhai has been a keynote speaker at conferences organized by the International Union of Aesthetic Medicine, the French Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Argentinean Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Mexican Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Colombian Association of Aesthetic Medicine, the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, the Dubai Dermatology Association, the Asia Pacific Society of Aesthetic Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He has written articles for Aesthetic Trends & Technologies, Aesthetic Buyers Guide, Healthy Aging Magazine and several other aesthetic magazines and journals. He was the Section Editor for the Aesthetic Medicine Chapter in the 3rd Edition of “Procedures for Primary Care” published by Elsevier.
Dr. Alibhai has been training physicians and dentists on various applications in aesthetic medicine since 2002. He is a Certified Physician Trainer for Allergan (Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm). Since 2002, he has trained over 900 doctors and dentists worldwide. He is an internationally recognized speaker and author in the field of aesthetic medicine.

Dr. Wendy Smeltzer graduated from University of Toronto medical school in 1980, practiced medicine in Calgary, Canada for 18 years and has been actively providing medical esthetic services since 1997. She has served on the executive of the Alberta Chapter of the Federation of Medical Women as well as committees for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. She was involved in developing Clinical Practice Guidelines with the Alberta Medical Association and has been a member of appeal panel for Alberta Health Care on appointment by the Minister of Health.
In 1997 Dr. Smeltzer founded Santé Spa (formerly Institut de Santé), Canada’s first medical spa, combining medical esthetics and lifestyle programs with traditional spa services. An ardent spa industry supporter, she was on the founding Board of Directors for the Canadian national spa association, Leading Spas of Canada, and chaired its Standards and Practices Committee, working for increased standards in the spa industry in Canada and developing a spa inspection process. Dr. Smeltzer was also one of nine advisors appointed in 2004 to the Canadian federal task force on Spa, Health and Wellness. Dr. Smeltzer serves on the Board of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine and has lectured across Canada and internationally on medical aesthetic procedures.

Dr. Trina Stewart, BScH, MD, CCFP, FCFP received a Bachelor of Medical Science and MD from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1998. She went on to complete her residency at the New Brunswick site of the Dalhousie University Family Medicine Program and achieved certification in the Canadian College of Family Practice in 2000. She was awarded her fellowship in Family Medicine in 2010. She began her family medicine career in Kentville, Nova Scotia, moving on to Summerside, PEI in 2002. She has a private practice in Summerside, PEI where she maintains full hospital privileges including care of inpatients and OR assisting. Dr. Stewart established Esprit Medical Aesthetics in 2005, initially treating with botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid fillers only; adding chemical peels, cosmeceuticals, and light based technologies over the ensuing years. Along with her interest in medical aesthetics, Dr. Stewart has a keen interest in general dermatology and completed a Diploma in Practical Dermatology at Cardiff University in Wales in 2010. Since then, Dr. Stewart has incorporated consulting dermatology into her busy family and aesthetic medicine practice. She serves as a Provincial Dermatology Associate serving patients and their general dermatology needs from across the province. She is active with Dalhousie Faculty and is the Curriculum Coordinator for the PEI site of the Dalhousie Family Medicine Program. She is actively involved with teaching and regularly serves as preceptor to residents in her practice. She was recognized with an Award of Excellence from the Canadian College of Family Practice in 2013 for her dedication to the education of family medicine residents. Her entrepreneurial spirit and love for the aesthetic industry and family is evidenced by a business partnership with her sister in Fredericton, NB as they established Sorella Spa together in 2011. She is also a busy wife and mother of two amazingly talented children, Dexter (12) and Lindsay (9).
